How businesses and people rebound – featuring stories and marketing advice

Hey…it’s an Anything Can Happen Day

“Today is a day that is filled with surprises…nobody knows what’s gonna happen.”

When I was a kid, I’d slug my way in to the kitchen most days and ask the same question, “Mom, what’s today?”

She’d sing the same response every time, “Today is a day that is filled with surprises…nobody knows what’s gonna happen.” She’d make it through most of the theme song to the 1960′s Mickey Mouse Club Show, and it drove me nuts. “Mooooom!” But I kept asking…and she kept singing–optimism I’ve come to appreciate now that I’m a parent.

I can’t get that melody out of my head, especially today as I announce the publishing of Job Loss: A Unique Guide to Finding Resolve and Getting a Life. This is the first book published by myReboundmedia–a company dedicated to telling “rebound” stories of people and businesses. It won’t be the last. It’s also my first book, as an author.

I started writing this book three years ago and I remain dedicated to sharing this commonplace story (losing a job and working hard to find another one). I believe its unique format–as a daily journal, from inside a man’s head–stands to entertain and educate.

So…here is your mission:

  1. Purchase HERE.
  2. Read it.
  3. Like it on Facebook (click the little “Like” button on the amazon book page).
  4. Write a glowing review.
  5. Encourage others to read it.

A while back, when I suddenly lost my job, I found that by telling my story publicly (in a newspaper blog), people somehow needed to read a first-person account of what it’s like. I’m not sure why, but I’m sure it’s true. They asked for more, which I couldn’t give…at the time. Now I can. Enjoy!

Today truly is an Anything Can Happen Day.
